New Zealand map

Today's blog it about NZ map we had to fill out a piece of paper and we had a New Zealand map to see where to put the words.

Here are the words we had to use to fill out the piece of paper . Also here are the facts that I found for theses places

North Island : The North Island is common for its VOLCANIC activity parks 

South Island : Is bigger than the North Island 

Tasman Sea : The Tasman sea is between the southern ocean and the southern ocean 

Auckland : Auckland is the capital of the North Island 

Pacific Ocean : It is the largest ocean on the planet 

Wellington : Is the capital of New Zealand 

South Pacific Ocean : It covers more than 30% of earths surface 

Christchurch : It is known for its English heritage

Mentos and Coke

 Aim 

I want to found out what happens when you drop mentos into coke 

Research

Method 

Equipment 

• Coke , Coke No Sugar , Sprite 
• Mint Mentos
• Detergent
• Beakers
• Safety Glasses
• Measuring Cylinder

Instructions

1. Put on your safety classes   
2. Pour 30mils of COKE into a measuring cylinder
3. Measuring 10mils of detergent 

1. Pour 30mils of coke no sugar into a measuring cylinder
2. Measuring 10mils of detergent 

1. pour 30mils of sprite into a measuring cylinder
2. Measuring 10mils of detergent 

Results 

Coke 70  - mils in hight

Coke No Sugar  - 71 mils 

Sprite - 56 mils 

COKE & Mentos	COKE	COKE- No Sugar	SPRITE
Height of Bubbles	70mL	71mL	56mL

Disunion

Why did the bubbles form ?   

It came from the carbon dioxide in the air makes the sugar react in the soda witch makes it erupt because all of the bubbles in the COKE bottle air comes up and makes it explode.

 Aim: 

I want to find out how to make milk into plastic 

Equipment:

• Stove or microwave , Bunsen burner or Oven 
• Measuring cup or Beaker
• Measuring spoon
• Pot or Microwave
• White viniger 
• Paper towls 
• Spoon or stirring rod 
• Mug  

Institutions:

1. pour 1 cup ( 200 mils )  of milk into a pot or microwaveable container 
2. Add 4 teaspoons of white vinegar to a mug 
3. Add the hot milk to the mug with the vinegar
4. stir the mixture with a spoon
5. Knead all the curds together in to a ball of dough 
6. Colour  shape or mold the dough as you like 
7. you can colour your dough with food colouring  
8. what shapes can you create?

Paper - In - Air Challenge

Aim:

I want to found out how to keep a piece of paper in the air the longest

• A-4 paper

Skittle Colours

 Aim:

I want to find out what happens when you put skittles in water . 

Method: 

Eqement: 

• x8 Skittles 
• Warm Water 
• Petri dish 
• Beaker
• Paper towel 

Instructions: 

1. Get your equiment 
2. Put the skittles into the petri dish
3. Spreed them around the outside
4. Clean the beaker then dry it 
5. GENTLY pour the water in the middle of the petri dish so it is half full 
6. Observe what

PE

 Hello, 

I have been doing PE for this term it has been very fun except volleyball people where taking to long and being annoying but I enjoyed the other sports like Soccer , Hokey and Fitness. My favourite sport was soccer. Next week we are doing netball that if my favourite sport I do it as my winter sport. 

What is your favourite sport ?
